Users of the modern Internet take a lot of flack for only reading the headlines, even though that’s the point of a headline. It’s like criticizing someone for reading the back of a book, or an abstract, and forming an opinion.
It’s better to read as much of an article as is worthwhile than to always skim two sentences and quit, but sometimes you don’t even need the two to know that the author has no idea what’s going on. Alternately, it’s a piece whose summary doesn’t merit such great length, or about something in which no one but the author has any interest, or it’s obvious that not even the author cares.
Drop it. Stop reading. Move on.
